    I Have had two great loves in my life, classic American muscle cars and music. I became interested in musical instruments at a young age and grew into a musician, playing in a couple of bands. As I grew older my interest broadened when I was hired as an instructor and salesman at a local music store in my hometown of Canton Ohio. As I matured and my finances permitted I began collecting a wide variety of musical instruments. So you might say I have been playing, buying, selling and collecting musical instruments for... well a long time that amounts to most of my life.
    Several years ago I found myself in dire need of an appraiser. I looked high and low and couldn't find a “certified appraiser” anywhere close to my home. I suppose I could have got my neighbor to write an appraisal for me but I was pretty sure the Court would be more inclined to believe a Certified Appraiser knowledgeable about the subject of the appraisal than a non-certified general appraiser of household goods. I imported an appraiser from out of state he turned in a nice report in the form of a pamphlet with detailed descriptions of the items appraised, their My opponent's appraiser turned in a sheet of paper titled “appraisal”.
    That whole ordeal got me thinking that there was a real need for not just appraisers, but certified appraisers, specializing in areas of expertise. Only appraising items they are actually knowledgeable about. I took the necessary steps to become a Certified Appraiser and Auctioneer specializing in Muscle Cars and Musical Instruments.
